Flavours
Fruity, mineral nose with hints of white fruit and white flowers. Fresh and generous on the palate with spicy and musky notes, combined with a dash of alcohol and cut grass. -
Best served with
Pasta, rice, rish, either fried or in a creamy sauce, seafood platter, risotto with truffle and scallops or Valençay, Crottin de Chavignol or young Comté cheeses.
Extra info
It is also found in La Mancha under the names Mondéjar, Ribera del Guadiana and last but not least, Vinos de Madrid. It is here that it is found as the main grape variety. It is also known in the regions of Cuenca and Cáceres.
