Reportedly from the Douro region. Forms the base of Rueda wines but can also be found in Cigales and Tierra de Léon, Cea, Zamora, Asturias and Santander as well as the Canary Islands. It is also found in Portugal and Australia and was the base for Medina wines.
Radiant white gold colour. Pleasant and sophisticated nose of citrus fruits (lemon and orange), white fruits (apple and pear) with very light and elegant notes of smoke, flint and freshly cut grass that is a clear indication of the grape variety. The palate is fresh and pleasant, opening with mineral and fruity notes before moving into beautiful caudalies in the same vein.
